5 Christmas Gift Ideas for the Student-Athlete
I love Christmas. I love it for a lot of reasons, but one of the biggest is because I take the day completely off (of training and of school). I feel like such a NARP (non-athletic regular person) and it's a blast! I'm extra excited for Christmas this year, but I've had hardly any time to Christmas shop. In case you're in the same boat as me, I compiled a list of Christmas gifts for the student-athlete in your life!
#1: Golden Coil Customizable Planner
If you know me, you know I am a big planner. I love having everything written down and scheduled. There's no wonder, then, why I am obsessed with Golden Coil customizable planners.

You can create your own planner that is tailored to your organizational and scheduling needs! After selecting a cover from their cute, colorful options, you design each and every page. You can add important dates (like birthdays or competition dates) and choose from a variety of weekly or daily layouts. You can even add extra pages like to-do lists, fitness tracking, meal planning, goal sheets, homework lists, school calendars, budgets... The possibilities are endless! Designing it is just as fun as using it, so gift cards are a great alternative to enable the user to customize it for their own needs.
#2: Massage Gun
Massage guns are the perfect on-the-go rehab tool when an athlete needs to relieve sore or tight muscles. They're small enough to keep in your bag and bring to practice and competitions, yet they pack a punch (hehe, literally)!
With dozens of brands and versions, massage guns vary in price. Mine is a Hypervolt, but I included some different options as there are so many!
#3: Kyle Cavan Jewelry
I bought myself one of these a few months ago because I couldn't wait for Christmas, haha! It's definitely my favorite piece this year. Kyle Cavan is a Modern College Jewelry company with signature pieces that are trendy and classy. The best part? They're college themed.

With 88 schools and counting, this is the perfect gift for any college student, graduate, or new commit. Each school has their own logos, gemstones, coordinates, and more. You can even customize them! Here's a picture of mine!
#4: Gift Card
Gift cards are always easy and safe options. They're especially viable for busy college students living on their own for the first time! The one downside is that they might not seem very personable, so here's some ways to make gift cards more unique and thoughtful!
College Bookstore Gift Cards: Most schools have gift cards online for their bookstore. This is perfect for a college student or incoming freshman. We can never have too much college gear, and book store gift cards give us something fun to do (go shopping)! Plus, you know that we will like whatever we pick out!
Local Restaurants: After 10 weeks of dining hall food, trust me when I say this is a good idea. There's nothing better than getting to go off campus and have a real meal!
On-Campus Restaurants and Cafes: Another substitute to traditional dining hall food, on-campus restaurants and cafes are awesome study or hangout spots. Each school has their own, so it will take a little bit of research. Ours are Jamba Juice and Starbucks, to give a couple of ideas.
#5: Books
As I've mentioned on this blog before, the mental game is a large component of athletic and academic success. I've linked some books that are great for athletes (as well as my review of some of them)!
